Angry Birds: Star Wars is a spinoff of the classic Angry Birds game integrated with the Star Wars franchise.
For some fans, Angry Birds is turning into a "Call of Duty" scenario: countless "editions" and games are being released so frequently that they are becoming too similar and bland. However, Angry Birds: Star Wars aims to break that cycle. This game borrows lots of resources from the Star Wars franchise, helping make it more of a success than its predecessors.
The famous physics engine is still there, but it's coupled with real Star Wars characters, and the Star Wars resources are actually licensed, so it doesn't feel like a cheap ripoff. The Angry Birds get to meet and interact with many Star Wars characters, but players don't need to be familiar with the movie franchise to enjoy the game (but sci-fi buffs may appreciate some of the subtleties more).
Some newer features, like giving the birds light sabers to use midair, have been added to make the gameplay more unique and dissimilar from the earlier games. The only real downside to this game is that it becomes very repetitive, but Angry Birds veterans are already used to this experience.
If you're looking for a challenge and are willing to put up with some repetitive and frustrating levels, then this is a great game for you.
